Medical coverage is available after 90 days of employment. J. Kings pays a portion of the medical coverage for staff and their dependents. The remainder is paid by the staff member through bi-weekly pre-tax payroll deductions.
After three months of employment, dental coverage is available and is paid by the staff member through bi-weekly pre-tax payroll deductions.
Long Term Disability
Long term disability insurance is available to all staff members after 3 months of employment. LTD is paid through bi-weekly deductions.
Life insurance is available to all staff members after six months of employment. This insurance is extended to the staff member's spouse and children as well. Life insurance is paid by the staff member through bi-weekly payroll deductions.
Cancer, Accident and Short Term Disability plans are available to all staff members. AFLAC is paid by the staff member through bi-weekly payroll deductions.
J. Kings observes 6 holiday's (paid) per year:
• New Years Day
• Memorial Day
• Independence Day
• Labor Day
• Thanksgiving Day
• Christmas Day
All full time staff members must work the day before and the day after each holiday in order to get paid for them. For some shifts, the holiday may be the eve of the holiday.
If a holiday falls on a staff members scheduled day off, the staff member receives an extra P.A.L. day.
J.Kings Food Service Professionals, Inc. offers our staff members a comprehensive 401k retirement plan. Staff members may be eligible after 6 months of employment. J. Kings contributes 3% percent of each staff member’s salary into their 401k in addition to any amount the staff member might contribute. All staff member contributions are through bi-weekly pre-tax payroll deductions.
All staff members are paid through a direct deposit program. This helps alleviate the need to go to the bank on payday as staff member's paychecks are deposited and available for withdrawal on payday. J. Kings has made arrangements with several banks so that staff members may open no-fee accounts.
All staff members who are with the company over 5 years become members of the J.Kings Green Team. Green Team members receive a paid life insurance policy and long term disability insurance. Members of the Green Team are also eligable to enter the annual raffle to win a one week paid vacation to Disney for them and their family.
